The Pond 2016

Last year I built a pond.  It is completely natural and is not filtered as we allow plants to do this for us.  Last year the pond established itself and we have sat with fingers crossed to see what will happen.  This year has so far been amazing.  So much wildlife has moved in I now do not have to travel more than 15 metres in order to photograph wildlife.  We have had tadpoles, frogs, the fish of course, bugs, beetles, pond skaters, spiders and a lot of other flying things I have no idea what they are.  Also we have had eggs and lava laid onto the plant leaves.

I have also become fascinated by these tiny spiders that have appeared on our plants, so small they are almost invisible.  Thankfully I have a macro lens which has a better resolution than the human eye and so have been trying to take photos of them so that I might get a better look.  I’ll post some int he days to come.  In the meantime this is how small they are compared to my finger.  Hopefully I’ll be able to identify them.
