‘Still Life’ Artwork

A little sneak peak at something I’m working on.  I don’t want to get ahead of myself but I am starting to work on some Fine Art Work that hopefully, if it all works out, will be available next year.  Fine Art Collections are something I have wanted to produce for a while now and with the weather being so wet and unpredictable along with now having the space to set up a space to shoot in, I now do not have any excuses.

I am fascinated by the natural forms that are created in nature and find myself picking up shells, stones, bits of wood etc every time I go to the beach.  Often coming home with more than one pocket full of stuff I find.  As you work your way along the coast here in Ayrshire, every beach offers a slightly different array of shells and objects.  It’s not something you would notice unless you get down and close to what you are walking on.  Different shells prove more more popular on one beach than another and so there is always something to find.

Here are some images of me at work yesterday as I experiment with natural light and different configurations of LED lights.  It took me all day until I found an image that I liked and then set out to copy it using different materials so I am excited to work on the images and see what comes out of them and then of course share my work.

Hopefully I will be adding these images to the library of Fine Art work that I will be launching in the new year.  I just want to add that this in no way is meant to be a distraction from my dog and equine work which I will continue to provide.  In fact the equine work has produced many amazing Fine Art images for me so far which I am keen to publish and so it’s just another avenue to my work.  Keep your eyes peeled for more to come.
