‘Wings and Wheels’ 2018

Having moved to Cranleigh, as followers of this blog will know, we are near the old Dunsfold Aerodrome which since closing many years ago is now more famous for Top Gear and as a film set, than anything else.  Over the Bank Holiday Weekend it holds the annual ‘Wings and Wheels’ show, a mixture of airshow and car show over two days.  Well, today has been a washout, typical English Bank Holiday weather but yesterday was nice and all the aircraft were up flying.

Trying work, editing pet photo shoots is difficult with planes flying over your back garden so I got distracted.  Being close I knew we might see something, but the flightpaths for the displays went right over the garden and in a figure of eight pattern seemingly around the house.  I had my own personal air display all afternoon, so not much work got done but I got some great photo’s, mainly of the Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight, the Mig and the Red Arrows who tore up the sky as normal.  Incredible to see these planes without having to leave my garden.

This blog is a diary of my work and so I thought I’d share some of them here  So they’re not  animals or pets, but I know that some of you would like to see some of the other things I like to photograph so I hope you enjoy them.
