Had an amazing day down in Dumfries yesterday talking to the camera club members about my dog and equine work. 

Went down early in the hope of seeing the otters on the river but they were not to be seen. Having never met anyone from there before I was shown around by a camera club member, Edmund who’s almost 80 had had stories galore to tell of his world travels as a Dr. and his years of photographing birds. What he doesn’t know about birds isn’t worth knowing.

Then to top it off we went back to his house for homemade vegetable curry and stick toffee pudding and ice cream made by his lovely wife Elisabeth, before heading down to the club. 

Such wonderful generosity was shown by everyone and I was made to feel very welcome.The talk went well and home by 11pm.
