Culzean Castle, February 17th, 2024

This week I had a meeting at Culzean Castle regarding planned Photowalks for 2024 which is great news as we hope to build upon the interest and success of last years walks.  More to come on that over the next few weeks as details get finalised and I can announce when and what they will involve, all I can say is that there is something different than last year in the pipeline which is exciting.

Whilst there I had to go on a ‘reccy’ around parts of the Castle I haven’t visited and was keen to see, mainly the smugglers caves beneath the castle.  The weather was horrible, wet and wasn’t favourable for good photos and the views across the Arran and Ailsa Craig vanished as the storm moved in.

None the less, in the bad weather all you see is dog walkers and photographers.  I manages 5 beaches, all were deserted apart from the dog walkers and I managed to find what I was looking for along with some other surprises as I made my way along the coast.

It’s such a beautiful place and offers so much for photographers even on dreich days such as this was.

So more news to come sop keep your eyes out…….
